Build the Future of Messaging with BirdyChat

Too many work conversations happen in personal chat apps. BirdyChat is a separate place for them: you reach people by work email instead of phone number, chats stay organised by team, client or project, and you close them when they are done.
We are built and hosted in Europe and backed by European investors, including DIG Ventures, Change Ventures, Tiny Supercomputer, Tesonet, FIRSTPICK and more. We ship to iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, web and an open API. We work closely with users and release often.
We are now looking for a Head of Product to own our product end to end.
👀 What makes this opportunity different?
The full product. You own the experience on iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, web and the API, rather than a slice of a larger product.
Users are a message away. Our early users answer when we ask. You will spend a large part of your week talking to them, and what you learn goes into the roadmap.
Decisions happen quickly. You work directly with both founders. There is no committee between an idea and shipping it.
Ownership. You set the process, the metrics and the rhythm.
🤩 What you’ll do
Own the product roadmap across iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, web and the API
Talk to users constantly, and turn what you hear into decisions about what we build next
Own the full journey: visiting the website, signing up, inviting a team, having useful conversations, collaborating with other teams, and extending a network
Decide what we measure, instrument it properly, and use it to judge whether the work landed
Work with our designer and engineers day to day on scope, sequencing and quality
⚒️ What we’re looking for
You've built products which you're proud of and can show us
Comfort with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel or PostHog: you build your own funnels and answer your own questions rather than requesting reports
A habit of speaking to users directly
Judgement about best practice: you know it well, and you are willing to drop it when it does not fit our situation
You care about impact and are honest about what did not work
Bonus: experience with building consumer apps, messaging apps, developer-facing APIs, or early-stage startups

Monthly salary from 5,600 EUR (gross), higher depending on experience
