Child Safety & CSAE Policy
At BirdyChat, we are committed to the highest standards of safety and protection for all users. We have a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
BirdyChat is a professional communications app intended only for adults (18+). No person under the age of 18 is permitted to create an account or use our services.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Child Safety & CSAE Policy applies to all BirdyChat users, content, and activity.
2. Prohibited Content and Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited within BirdyChat:
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form (images, videos, text, audio, or other content).
• Any attempt to groom, solicit, exploit, or endanger minors.
• Any behavior, content, or communication that normalizes or facilitates CSAE.
We enforce a zero tolerance approach: violations result in immediate account suspension, removal of content, and reporting to the appropriate authorities.
3. Detection and Enforcement
We use human moderation to identify potential CSAE. Any report or detection of CSAE triggers immediate review and action. Confirmed cases are reported to competent law enforcement or child protection authorities in accordance with applicable laws.
4. Reporting CSAE or Child Safety Concerns
Users can report suspected CSAE or other safety concerns:
Directly within the BirdyChat app via the in-app reporting feature.
By email to our dedicated safety contact: safety@birdy.chat
All reports are treated as urgent and confidential.
5. Legal Compliance and Obligations
BirdyChat complies with all relevant child safety laws in the regions where we operate.
Where required, we will report confirmed CSAM to the appropriate national authority (e.g. hotlines, law enforcement agencies, or designated reporting centers).
We cooperate with law enforcement investigations to protect children and prosecute offenders.
6. Transparency and Accountability
We regularly review and update this policy to remain aligned with international best practices.
We may publish transparency information summarizing how we enforce our CSAE standards.
