We’re backed by top European investors, working closely with early users, and shipping fast. Now we’re looking for an Elixir Developer to become one of the foundational engineers behind BirdyChat’s core backend.

🤩 What you’ll do
Architect and build the backend of BirdyChat using Elixir and Phoenix
Develop and maintain scalable APIs, messaging logic, message storage, and real-time features
Integrate with third-party services
Help define engineering best practices and influence the company’s tech culture
⚒️ What we’re looking for
You’ve built real things with Elixir: ideally 3+ years of hands-on backend experience, with at least 1-2 years using Elixir in production
You think in systems: strong understanding of backend architecture, data modeling, and performance considerations
You ship: proactive, curious, and excited to solve user problems, not just build technically cool things
Bonus: experience with real-time messaging, third-party API integrations, or startup environments
